Fix yourself!
This section is very important to us – we are fascinated by the topic of self-help and we intensely search for sources that would tell us more about this issue.
This section contains, among others, the works reflecting our fascination with the human mind. The work called “100 billion” reminds us about the potential that all of us carry in our heads. Another work, “Control”, encourages viewers to gain control over the invaluable organ – that is the brain. However, to control and steer your mind in a conscious way, we first need to know what is hidden deep in our subconscious (the work “Eraser”), get acquainted with our fears (the work “Fears”) and analyse the issues that we usually “push outside” (“Boomerang”). The section includes also the mural we painted on one of the dilapidated buildings in Płock. The work concerns our fascination with the power of human thought that is capable of changing reality.
We also included two works concerning the fear of the unknown in this section. These were exhibited on the two walls of the art gallery just opened in an old tenement in Warsaw. One of the works repeats the word “NO” like a mantra, forming in the end the word “unkNOwn”. The other work, exhibited on the opposite wall, contains three variants of a famous saying “The evil you know is better than the one you don’t”. In the most pessimistic variant, the slogan states that “The evil you know is better than the good you don’t”. For the person who believes in that, the experience of good, happiness and love is impossible to achieve.
The section contains also the photographs from the happening “Lack”. In this experiment, we placed a huge word “LACK” on the board and we asked passers-by to mark what they lacked in life at that time by placing colourful circles within the word. Every person could put up just one circle. The colours of the circles denoted different values and needs. Over 100 people took part in the happening. The results of the experiment were as follows: happiness – 31 circles, goal/meaning – 31 circles, feelings – 31 circles, material goods – 14 circles.
This section contains also the series of works entitled “This is art…”, which was exhibited in the public space in Sanok (on billboards, posters, leaflets). The series aimed at answering the question: “What is art?”. Of course, we interpreted the topic in a rather perverse way – what we see as art is a very valuable or even invaluable ability… the ability to be oneself, to realize the truth etc.
The section includes also two works exhibited on a small board that we used for a short time for artistic purpose and that was placed on one of the tenement house in Różana Street.

In Polish, the slogan can be understood as both „Do I prefer some option or not?” and „Will or enslavement?”. The word „wolę” can be both a form of the verb „prefer” as well as a form of the noun „will”, while „niewolę” is a form of the word „enslavement”.
